The Music Center of Los Angeles County, which opened in 1964, is the cultural soul of Los Angeles and a source of pride for all of Southern California. The Music Center reaches more than four million people each year and is home to the Los Angeles Opera, the Center Theatre Group (the Mark Taper Forum and the Ahmanson Theatre), the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The 3,086 seat Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, home to the Los Angeles Opera, is the centerpiece of this eleven-acre four-theatre complex.
