Hope Boonshaft Joins LA Opera as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

(LOS ANGELES, CA) October 6, 2006 – Los Angeles Opera recently appointed Hope Boonshaft to the newly created position of Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, effective September 18, 2006. Ms. Boonshaft, who will oversee the Company’s new marketing, public relations and community outreach strategies, comes to Los Angeles Opera from Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she had been Executive Vice President of Global Public Policy since 1995. “I am delighted to welcome Hope Boonshaft to LA Opera,” said Edgar Baitzel, Chief Operating Officer. “Her vast experience in entertainment communications and outreach will be a valuable asset during this exciting growth era for LA Opera.”
